The data controller for all personal data collected through this website and our services is the BetterCallClaude Association, a non-profit organization registered in Switzerland under Article 60 ff. of the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB).

2. What Data We Collect
We collect and process only the personal data necessary for the operation of our association and the provision of our services. This includes: membership registration data (name, email, professional affiliation, country), contact form submissions, and server logs (IP address, browser type, access times) for security and technical purposes.
We do not collect telemetry from the use of our open-source plugins by default. When you run our MCP servers locally, your queries remain on your infrastructure.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
We process your data for the following purposes: managing membership and governance (contractual necessity), responding to inquiries (legitimate interest), maintaining website security (legitimate interest), and sending newsletters and updates to members who have opted in (consent).
For payment processing, we rely on contractual necessity. Financial data is handled by our payment processors and is not stored on our servers.
4. Data Retention
Membership data is retained for the duration of your active membership plus seven years in accordance with Swiss association law and tax requirements. Contact form submissions are retained for two years. Server logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.
5. Your Rights
Under Swiss data protection law and the GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to withdraw consent at any time.

6. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services: GitHub for code hosting (public repositories only), a Swiss-based hosting provider for our website, and payment processors for membership dues. All processors are selected for their compliance with European data protection standards.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetize your personal data.
7. Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts that collect personal data. We use only essential session cookies necessary for the language selector to function. No third-party trackers are present.
8. International Transfers
Our website is hosted in Switzerland. Some of our open-source projects are hosted on GitHub, which may process data in the United States. By contributing to or using our GitHub repositories, you acknowledge this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to members via email and posted on this page with a revised date.
